Over the years I have been lead teacher in planning and coordinating community events such as Latino Family Night, Literacy Night, Math Night, and Read Across America Week celebrations (4A-1). During these events I worked closely with our school's PTA and teachers to set up dinner and activities for families and the community to enjoy. The focus was to create fun educational experiences that would help families learn how they could extend the learning at home (4A-4). These family events help build relationships with our families and community.
